How long do you stay on the wedding day?
As long or as little as you like! We start the day with the bridal preperation and normally stay for a good hour after your first dance.
Where will you travel to shoot a wedding?
Anywhere! Although based in South Wales, we have weddings booked in Bristol, North Wales and even Italy. For international weddings, please get in touch for a tailored price.
Can we make prints from the disc of hi-res images?
You absolutely can. With Lloyd Williams Photography we supply all the photos from your wedding day in high resolution for your own personal use. All we ask is that if you put the photos onto facebook that you include a link to our website.
Who owns the copyright to our wedding photos?
We both will! Joint copyright allows us to use your photos on our website, blogs and any marketing materials. It allows you to print, email, share and upload online.
Are all the photos on the disc edited?
Absolutely. After a wedding we typically spend at least a full 12 hour day editing all your photos. This may include colour and tonal correction, blemish removal and cropping. For images that we feel suit black and white, we’ll go ahead and convert them for you.
How far in advance of the wedding do we need to book you?
If we are free on your wedding date then we’ll be more than happy to take your booking. We booked a wedding once the week before – we are very flexible! It’s advisable to get in touch ASAP to ensure our availability.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer two types of albums, both can be shown to you during your wedding consultation. One is included as part of our package, but you can upgrade to the more luxurious option if you prefer.
Do you require a deposit for bookings?
Yes. We require a £150 deposit to secure your wedding date. We can then tell any new enquiries for that date that we’re already booked.
Do you ever photograph two weddings on the same day?
Absolutely not. This is an impossible task that some photographers try and pull off. With us, we are with you all day.
When is the remaining balance paid?
The final outstanding balance is required 14 days before your wedding date. Any other prints, albums or canvases ordered after your wedding are invoiced separately to your wedding photography package.
Where can we go for our engagement shoot?
Pretty much anywhere you wish. It’s always good to try out new venues and locations. Most often we choose a local park or hotspot where we can get a nice relaxed feel to the shots. Any location further than 40 miles of Cardiff may require additional travel expenses. See our engagement section for more details.
What do we do with the images from our engagement shoot?
The images are supplied to you on a CD/DVD. Most of our clients choose their favourite image to be printed onto a signing board that guests can sign and leave good luck messages on the actual wedding day.
How many photographs would you expect to take on our wedding day?
We normally shoot 800 plus photos on a typical wedding day. This really does depend on the size of your party. We aim to show you 300 of the best shots from the day, which are fully edited and ready to print.
Do you do any family group photos?
Absolutely. This is a very important part of the day – photographing the family together. We will require a list of shots you require before the big day so we can organize this efficiently without eating up too much time.
Do you have a web gallery for friends and family to purchase prints after the day?
We have an online section to the website where we upload the photos of your wedding day for others to view and purchase. The gallery can be password protected on request, so that only your friends and family will have access. Please note it can take upto 14 days for these to appear online – we have to sort through and edit everything beforehand.
How long do you keep the files?
We have never deleted a wedding yet, and all your pictures are backed up 3 times over. If you were ever to lose your CD, we charge £40 for a duplicate disc.
What cameras do you use?
We shoot with Nikon cameras. They are big and expensive and we always carry a back-up on the wedding day. You never know when an accident may happen!
When can we see our pictures?
We aim to edit through your photos by the time you return from honeymoon. Depending on the time of year and our workload, but generally your photos are ready to previewed within 14 days.
How many pictures can we have in the album?
There’s no limit to the amount of photos that make the album. On average we say roughly 80 shots, but we’ve produced albums in the past with 120 photos in.
How does the album design process work?
We will design an album for you, as we know how to make the "story" flow from the beginning of the day right through to the end. We can email you across a proof before we order with our suppliers. If there are any changes that you’d like to make, we can do this for you before ordering.
